Workshop on Forensic Ballistics and Toxicology held at Kasturba Medical College
Manipal, Nov 25, 2021: A Hands on workshop on Forensic ballistics and Toxicology was organized by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology and Centre for Clinical and Innovative Forensics, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal recently.
The workshop was inaugurated by Kumarachandra, IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, Udupi district.
Dr.Sharath Kumar Rao, Dean, Kasturba Medical College welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Vikram Palimar, Professor and Head, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, gave an overview of the event.
Dr.Vinod C. Nayak, Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology and Co-ordinator, Centre for Clinical and Innovative Forensics proposed the vote of thanks.
Dr. B C Ravindra and Dr. V G Nayak, from FSL, Bengaluru were the resource persons.
Seminar and crime scene investigation was held on the first day. A hands on firing session was organized at District Firing Range in Karkala on the second day. Nearly 150 police officials of all cadres attended the workshop, along with the postgraduate students of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
