Udupi: Surendra Adiga elected president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat

Udupi, Nov 21, 2021: Neelavara Surendra Adiga has been reelected as the president of Udupi district Kannada Sahitya Parishat.

The election for the Parishat was held on Sunday where he defeated his nearest contender K S Subrahmanya Basri by 32 votes.

While Adiga won with 432 votes, Basri stood second with 400 votes. Another candidate Subrahmanya Bhat got 394 votes.

Of the total 1,232 votes, 1,226 were valid votes.
