Preparatory meeting on Flower Show held
Chikkamagaluru, Nov 18, 2021: A preparatory meeting related to the annual flower show during Republic Day was held at Chikkamgaluru Zilla Panchayat on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by ZP CEO G Prabhu.
“The annual flower show is one of the most popular programs in the district. All arrangements should be made to make the show more attractive,” the CEO said.
“India is celebrating Diamond Jubilee celebration of Independence. Arrangements should be made in the backdrop of this. In particular, arrangements should be made to commemorate the freedom fighters of the district. The program should also create awareness about Covid,” he said.
He said cultural programs will be organized by the Department of Kannada and Culture during the event. The CEO said that the public, especially the school children should be able to attend the show in large numbers.
Horticulture Department Deputy Director Vedamoorthy said the necessary preparations for the Flower Show have already begun.
He also said that those who have developed parks and gardens at home, school, and government offices will be recognized.
