Karwar Assistant Commissioner seizes 45 ton sand
Karwar, Nov 18, 2021: Officials led by Karwar Assistant Commissioner Vidyashree Chandargi seized 45-ton sand during an operation on Wednesday.
The team visited Sunkeri, Nandanagadda, Gabithavada, Nadivada and found about 45 on sand stored illegally and immediately seized them.
The sand was handed over to Nirmithi Kendra for the various works of the government.
Vidyashree later took a boat at Kali River and traveled to check if there were any illegal sand mining. Karwar Tahsildar, Police Inspector, and officials from Mines and Geology department accompanied the AC.
