Houses damaged in Udupi due to rain, lightning

Udupi, Nov 15, 2021: Two houses were damaged due to rain and lightning in Udupi district.

Officials said that the house of Sujaya was damaged partially due to lightning on Nov 13. The estimated loss is said to be Rs 30,000.

The house of G Shabuddin of Padutonte in Udupi taluk was severely damaged due to wind and rain on Nov 14. The estimated loss is Rs 1 lakh.

As of July 15th morning, Udupi district recorded an average rainfall of 47.5 mm. Karkala recorded the highest rainfall and Byndoor had the lowest.
