Water supply in several parts of Mangaluru City likely to be affected

Mangaluru, Nov 03, 2021: Water supply to Mangaluru City will be affected due to the damage in the main supply line near Adyar Katte.

Mangaluru City gets water from the Thumbe Vented dam situated near BC Road.

“The Pipeline supplying water from Thumbe to Mangaluru City has been damaged near Adyar Katte. Mangaluru City Corporation will begin repair work later tonight that needs a shutdown at Thumbe for the work to be carried on,” MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar said in a press statement.

“Water supply across Surathkal, Kottara Chowki, Pacchanadi, Panambur, Car Street, Kudroli, Bolur, Kodialbail, and Hampankatta may be affected. Citizens are kindly requested to cooperate,” he added.
