Sukrajji hospitalized, stable
Karwar, Oct 28: Following health issues, Padma Shri awardee Sukri Bommu Gouda (86) has been admitted to Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences.
“We came to know that Sukrajji had developed a health problem on Wednesday. I called and got to know that the condition was serious. Immediately, with the help of the DHO we arranged for an ambulance and brought her from her house at Badigeri in Ankola to our district hospital,” Red Cross disaster management district head Madhav B Nayak told The Canara Post.
As soon as she was brought o the hospital, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan sent Tahshildar Noronha to the hospital.
“The team led by KRIMS director Dr. Gajanan Nayak, Dr. Sandesh, Dr. Srinivas, and Dr. Sharath immediately attended to her. Her oxygen level had dropped to 73 when she came to the hospital and was not in a position to walk. All the necessary tests were conducted and she was provided treatment,” Nayak said.
“Sukrajji is now recovering and there is improvement in her health condition,” Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences director Gajanan Nayak said.
