Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy wins cricket tournament
Mangaluru, Oct 27, 2021: Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy won the 26th inter-collegiate cricket tournament held at Panambur on October 20 and 21.
The tournament was held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Panambur in Mangalore under the auspices of Dr. M V Shetty memorial Trust, Mangalore.
In all, 19 boys teams and 14 girls teams from different physiotherapy colleges of Karnataka participated in the tournament.
In the semifinals, the Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy boys’ team walked into the finals by winning the match against Garden City College of physiotherapy, Bengaluru.
In the final Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy won against Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Staff Team.
Muhammed Nihal was declared the best batsman of the tournament, Jobin Joseph was awarded best bowler, and Steevo Sebastian the best fielder.
In the girls cricket tournament, Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy won against Kanachur College of physiotherapy.
Aswathi Anilkumar was awarded the best all-rounder and Anjali Anilkumar the best fielder of the tournament.
