Shirooru Seer offers first Pooja to Udupi Sri Krishna
Udupi, Oct 08, 2021: After completing his first ‘Chaturmasa Vrita,’ Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripadaru of Shirooru Matha offered his first pooja to Udupi Sri Krishna today.
Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripadaru took charge of Shirooru Matha on May 14. As per the tradition, only the Asta Matadhipathis of Udupi are allowed to offer Pooja to the idol of Udupi Sri Krishna. A seer can touch the idol of Sri Krishna and offer pooja only after completing a Chaturmasa Vrita.
Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripadaru undertook the Vrita at Sode Moola Matha in Sirsi Taluk along with Sode Peetadhipathi Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru.
At an auspicious Muhurtham on Friday, Sri Vedavarthana Tirtha touched the idol and performed Pooja for the first time.
Paryaya Peetadhipathi Sri Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru, Sri Vidyavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Kaniyooru Matha, Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Sode Matha were present.
