Sode seer takes holy dip in Sindhu River

Udupi, Oct 01, 2021: Shri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha along with his disciples had a holy bath in the Sindhu River at Leh Ladakh.

Sindhu river has been mentioned in the Vedas. and is considered one of the seven sacred rivers.

Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru who recently concluded the ‘Chaturmasa Vrta,’ visited Leh Ladakh region with his disciples and offered prayers there.

After having a bath, Sripadaru offered Pooje at the banks of the river and offered Tarpana.

Sindhu Darshan Festival held during Guru Poornima is one of the famous festival events held here every year since 1996.

While the event was started by Lal Krishna Advani and Tarun Vijay, the program has been attracting people every year. On July 4, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had performed Sindhu Darshan Pooja.
