Second dose vaccination camp held at St Mary’s College
Udupi, Sept 21, 2021: The second dose vaccination drive was held at Fr Henry Castelino Auditorium of St Mary’s College, Shirva today.
The drive was jointly organized by NCC, NSS, Youth Red Cross, Rovers-Rangers, Udupi District, Health Department, Udupi District Government Hospital, and Shirva Community Health Center.
“Following the decision to vaccinate graduate college students, faculty and non-teaching staff, the vaccination campaign of the Second dose was organized on the college premises following the availability of vaccines to eligible beneficiaries over the age of 18 years and those who had already taken the first dose. The vaccine is being distributed following the Code of Conduct of the College administration,” Vaccination Campaign nodal officer and NCC officer of the college Lt. K Praveen Kumar said.
The principal of the college Dr. Herald Ivan Monis presided over the program.
Shirva Community Health Center Medical Officer Dr. Gayathri gave details about the vaccination and its importance.
Teaching, Non-teaching staff, and students were vaccinated in the drive held today.
Shirva community health center’s junior health assistant Kalpana, Geetha, Sangeetha, Shashi, Sanjay, Lab Technicians Shruthi, Kiran, Data Entry Operator Vidhya Bhat Mahesh, and Asha social workers Savitha and Rehmat helped in the smooth functioning of the vaccination camp.
