Chief Minister to register as organ donor
Udupi, Aug 13, 2021: Setting an example, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today declared to register as an organ donor.
“On the occasion of World Organ donation day today, I have decided to register as an organ donor. I call upon the people to volunteer to donate their organs,” Bommai told reporters at Udupi.
“There are many who are in need of organs. Our initiative to donate organs can help them,” he added.
Bommai was on his two-day tour to Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district to review the Covid situation. The two coastal districts are among the districts which are recording a high Covid positivity rate.
