Udupi: Covid warriors to be felicitated

Udupi, Aug 08, 2021: Covid warriors who have done exemplary work during the pandemic will be felicitated during the Independence Day celebration.

Udupi DC G Jagadeesh said this during a meeting at his office on Saturday.

The Independence Day celebration will be held at Mahatma Gandhi District Stadium at Ajjarkad on August 15 morning.
“The Covid warriors in all sections who had done exemplary works during the pandemic should be identified and felicitated during the program,” the DC said.

He directed the officials to make provisions for the webcasting of the program.

Covid guidelines will be followed strictly. Every person attending the program should undergo thermal scanning and be provided sanitizer.

Police, Fire, ANF, Coastal Security Police, Excise, and Forest department officials will participate in the Marchpast. Various committees were held on the occasion.
Additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu, ZP Deputy Secretary Kiran Pednekar, and various other officials were present.
