High School and PU classes to begin in Karnataka
Bengaluru, Aug 06, 2021: The state government has decided to restart High School and PUC from August 23.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told this after a meeting with the experts today.
The meeting discussed in length the present situation. The meeting included health experts and officials from the health and education department in addition to Cheif Secretary.
“In the first stage, we will start 9, 10th, 11th, and 12th (1st and 2nd PUC) from August 23. However, there will be conditions. One of them is that each class will be divided into two batches and they will have classes on alternate days. So each batch will have classes for three days in a week,” the CM said.
The government will review the 3rd wave and the seriousness of the Covid situation in the state and then decide about starting the Primary and 8th standard by August end.
