Mangaluru City Corporation: Provisional list of Ward Committees released
Mangaluru, Aug 02, 2021: Mangaluru City Corporation has released the provisional list of Ward Committees.
As per the Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act, Ward Committee is mandatory in all City Corporations. Based on The Karnataka High Court directions and the Gazette notification the MCC Council decided to form a 10 member ward committee headed by Corporation in the 60 wards.
As there are no guidelines in the Municipal Corporation Act or Government Notification, MCC had taken the Supreme Court order as the base and initiated measures to form the ward committee. Interested public were asked to apply.
Of the applications received, considering the quota in each ward, the MCC has released the provisional list of the award committee.
MCC has asked the public to go through the list and submit their objection and suggestions regarding this list within 15 days. They can submit it to the Zonal Commissioner or Inventory Officer or through email id [email protected].
The list is available at MCC office and has also been uploaded on the website.
