Surjewala to chair meeting in Mangaluru
Mangaluru July 20, 2021: AICC General Secretary incharge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala will chair a meeting of leaders from five districts at Mangaluru on July 23.
This is the maiden visit of Surjewala to Mangaluru after taking charge of Karnataka.
Giving details about the meeting, KPCC working president Saleem Ahmed said the leaders of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, and Hassan will participate in the meeting.
About 20 leaders from each district including former and sitting MLAs, MLCs, MPs, and also office bearers of AICC from the respective district will participate in the meeting. Former CM Siddaramaiah and KPCC president D K Shivakumar will accompany Surjewala.
The meeting will be held at the district Congress office at Mallikatte and will discuss various issues and subjects related to the political developments and party organization.
Party leaders said that Surjewala will hold similar meetings and cover all the districts of the state during his visit.
Surjewala’s visit gains importance in a situation when there is much confusion within the ruling BJP.
