Alert sounded for people living downstream of Kadra dam
Karwar, July 14, 2021: Due to heavy rain in the Kali River catchment region, the inflow into the Kadra dam has increased, making it necessary for the officials to let excess water from the dam.
The maximum level of the dam is 34.50 meters. At 8 am on July 14 the water level at the dam was 31.05 meters. The inflow to the dam is 20.707 cusecs due to which the excess water is being let out of the dam.
The Kadra division executive engineer has asked the people living downstream to be alert and move to safer places. People have been asked not to venture into the river for fishing or other activities.
