Red alert: Very heavy rain likely in Coastal Karnataka

Udupi, June 18, 2021: Heavy rain is likely to continue in the Coastal Karnataka districts till Saturday morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Coastal Karnataka districts till June 19 morning.

Heavy rainfall warning:

Day 1 valid until 8.30 am of June 19

Heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated Extremely heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall exceeds from 64.5 mm to 204.5 mm or more.

Day 2 valid until 8.30 am of June 20

Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall exceeds from 64.5 mm to 115.6 mm or more.

Day 3 valid until 8.30 am of June 21

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall exceeds from 64.5 mm.
