Mangaluru, June 10, 2021: The two-month-long ‘Vasanthotsava’ celebrations at Sri Samputa Narasimha Matha at Kukke Subrahmanya concluded on Wednesday.

‘Vasathotsava,’ is a celebration that commences on the first day of Chaitra month and concludes on the new moon day (Amavasya) of Vaishakha month.

Special Pooja and Shayanotsava are held every night after the ‘Ratri Pooje.’ Kadle Usli and Panaka are offered as ‘Naivedyam,’ to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha. The verity of ‘Naivedyam,’ increases on special days like Sri Rama Navami and Akshaya Tritiya.

“While ‘Tottilu Pooje,’ is offered daily for Udupi Sri Krishna, in our Matha it is offered to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha during ‘Vasantha Ruthu.’ Vasanthotsava and Tottilu Pooje concludes on the New Moon of Vaishakha Masa,” Sri Samputa Narasimha Matadhipathi Vidyaprasanna Tirtha Sripadaru of told The Canara Post.
