Lockdown to continue in Dakshina Kannada
Mangaluru, June 10, 2021: The state government has decided to continue the lockdown restrictions in 11 districts including Dakshina Kannada.
While the state government has declared the process of unlocking in most of the districts in the state, the present restrictions will continue in Dakshina Kannada and 10 districts with a high positivity rate.
The present lockdown is scheduled till June 14. While it will continue in 11 districts, the process of unlock will be kickstarted in others.
Giving details, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that the present lockdown restrictions will continue in Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Davangere, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Hassana, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Kodagu, and Belagavi. These districts have a high positivity rate.
He said the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts have been given the power to have discussions with the District Incharge Ministers and take more strict measures to control Covid.
Meanwhile the government has initiated unlock process in other districts. Some relaxation has been provided in the first stage.

All factories allowed with 50 percent workforce. But it will be 30 percent in garment industries.
The shops (that are allowed to open now) will be allowed till 2 pm (instead of 10 am).
All construction works are allowed. Related shops especially steel and cement can be opened.
Street vendors are allowed from 6 am to 2 pm.
Auto and Taxis can operate with two passengers per trip.
The covid curfew will continue at night from 7 pm to 5 am.
The weekend curfew will exist from Friday 7 pm to Monday 5 am.
