Udupi: Complete lockdown in villages with more than 50 active Covid cases
Udupi, June 08, 2021: The Udupi district administration has decided to impose lockdown in 16 Gram Panchayats which have more than 50 active Covid cases.
The decision was taken at the meeting headed by Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje. During the meeting, it was noted that the number had notably seen a downward trend in those Panchayats where the district administration had imposed complete lockdown last week.
Looking at the success in those villages, the meeting decided to continue the same strategy.
Following this resolution in the meeting, Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh has issued an order imposing complete lockdown in the Gram Panchayats with more than 50 active cases from 6 am of June 10 to 6 am of June 14.
