Probationary PSI dies due to Covid
Mangaluru, May 18, 2021: A Probationary PSI attached to Dakshina Kannada police died due to Covid at Kolar today.
“Shamili, a resident of Kolar was attached to DK district. She passed away due to Covid today morning at 4.30 am at RM Jalappa hospital, Kolar,” Dakshina Kannada SP said in a press statement.
Shamili was 7 months pregnant and due to pregnancy, she was not vaccinated.
She joined Dakshina Kannada police on January 11 this year and had gone on leave to her hometown Kolar. She was admitted to Jalappa Hospital Kolar on May May 2 for Covid treatment. Today morning she passed away.
SP Kolar paid personal attention to her hospitalization and treatment.
