IMD warns thunderstorm in Coastal Karnataka
Mangaluru, May 17, 2021: Coastal districts are likely to experience thunderstorm and heavy rainfall for next few days.
The intensity of rainfall has decreased after the Tauktae thunderstorm moved Northwards.
But the region is likely to witness rain for few more days. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued Yellow alert warning heavy rainfall (64.5 to 115.5 mm) at isolated places in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.
Thunderstorm & Heavy Rainfall Warning:
- Day 1 valid until 8.30 am of May 18th : Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rain (64.5mm to 115.5 mm) likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka. - Day 2 valid until 8.30 am of May 19th : Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
