Man arrested for assaulting Police in Mulki

Ansar has been arrested and sent to Judicial custody

Mangaluru, April 08, 2021: A person was arrested for assaulting a police Assistant Sub Inspector and a Constable of Mulki Police Station.

The incident took place today when Mulki Station ASI Ashok along with Constable Satish went to the house of Ansar (20) of Lingappayakadu, Mulki today morning to serve a notice in connection to a hurt case.

The police said that Ansar along with his father Sadik and two others Jubaira and Mumtaz assaulted the ASI and PC and attempted to murder them.

He also tried to escape by injuring and keeping a lady in his custody, the police added.

According to the police, Ansar is accused in seven cases like hurt, criminal intimidation, hurt preparation for dacoity, and also cases under the arms act.

He has been arrested and sent to Judicial custody.
