Mangaluru, March 19, 2021: Customs officials at Mangalore International Airport registered caught a person from Maharashtra for smuggling gold worth ₹ 13.16 lakh.

Officials said that the passenger Vinesh Raju Advani hailing from Ulhasnagar of Thane District, arrived from Dubai today by Spicejet flight.

The officials found him smuggling gold in powder form mixed with solid gum concealed in rectum and gold in form of ring, Kada, button, and label. The total weight of the gold was 284.900 grams worth ₹ 13,16,238.
