Woman cheated of ₹14.60 lakh
Karkala, Feb 10, 2021: A woman who was assured of a government job for her two sons has been allegedly cheated of ₹ 14.60 lakh.
Abdul Khader of Kotekar assured Jayamma (64) of Mala in Karkala Taluk to provide a government job to her two sons. He had allegedly got ₹9.60 lakh transferred to his account and also took ₹ 5 lakh cash for the same.
She has complained that Abdul Khader neither got the government job for the two children nor returned the money.
A case has been registered at Karkala Rural Police station under IPC section 406 (Criminal breach of trust) and 420 (Cheating).
