Speeding KSRTC bus kills pedestrian
Mangaluru, Feb 01, 2021: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a KSRTC bus at Kaikamba junction today.
Police said that around 11.10 am a KSRTC bus coming from Subrahmanya hit Buthesh P J (38) of Bengaluru at Kaikamba near Bilinele.
As he sustained serious injuries on the head and face, he was immediately shifted to Kadaba Hospital and for more treatment to Mangaluru. He did not respond to treatment and died.
A case has been registered against the bus driver at Kadaba Police station under IPC Section 279 (Rash Driving) and 304 (A) (Causing death by negligence).
