‘KH Learn’ at Kasturba Hospital

Manipal, Jan 9, 2021: Kasturba Hospital- Manipal launched its Continuing Learning Program ‘KH-Learn,’ on Saturday. The event was inaugurated by Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, Vice-chancellor, MAHE Manipal.

Lt Gen M D Venkatesh in his inaugural address said that continuing medical education and upgrading the medical knowledge is very important for all the practicing and teaching Doctors.

“This is mandatory for every specialty, sub-specialty, super specialty, and also for administrative elements,” he said.

Dr. PLNG Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Faculty of Health Sciences), MAHE, Manipal, was the Guest of honor of the program. Dr. Sharath K Rao-Dean, KMC gave an overview of the Continuing Learning program, Dr. Avinash Shetty- Medical Superintendent welcomed the gathering and Dr. Padmaraj Hegde proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr. Naveen Kumar A N- Head of the department of surgical oncology gave the talk on rare surgery performed in his department. Dr. Nikita was the master of ceremony for the program.

C G Muthana, Chief Operating Officer of Kasturba Hospital, Dr. Anil K Bhat, and Dr. Krishnananda Prabhu were present.
