Republic day to be a low key affair in Uttara Kannada
Karwar, Jan 09, 2021: In the backdrop of COVID-19 Republic Day will be celebrated in a simple way in Uttara Kannada.
Deputy Commissioner K Harish Kumar held a preparatory meeting at his office on Friday.
“Though an estimate indicates at the decline of COVID number, there is a need to prevent crowding. This year the Republic Day will be celebrated in a simple way. School children will not be allowed to participate in parades and there will be no cultural programs,” Harish Kumar said.
Additional DC H K Krishnamurthy, Additional SP S Badrinath, Karwar Assistant Commissioner Vidyashri Chandaragi and other officials were present.
