Thunderstorms likely to continue in Coastal Karnataka
Mangaluru, Jan 08, 2021: Thunderstorms with lightning is likely to continue in Canara districts till January 10.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places over coastal Karnataka from January 7 to 10.
The Coastal districts are experiencing unseasonal rain for the last four days.
The data recorded at 8 am today shows that in Dakshina Kannada district Puttur Taluk recorded the highest rainfall.
Puttur had 41.9 mm followed by Belthangady (33.7 mm), Sullia (17.9 mm), and Bantwal (7 mm). Mangaluru Taluk recorded the least 6.3 mm rain.
