Online fraud: Udupi man loses ₹ 1.05 lakh
Udupi, Jan 01, 2021: A person in Udupi lost ₹1.05 lakh after he gave his credit card details to a fraudster.
Kirtan S Kundar received a phone call from a person who introduced himself as a representative from the SBI Credit Card Department and collected the Card number, CVV number, and also OTP of two credit cards from Kirtan.
Kirtan later found that he was conned and cheated ₹1.06.
Based on Kirtan’s complaint, the police have filed a case under Section 66(C) and 66 (D) of the IT Act.
