Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2020: Sleuths of Mangaluru Air Customs arrested two passengers at the Airport for smuggling gold.

One Muhammed Zahir Aneez and Wasim Marzan had arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport from Dubai via flight IX 1814 on December 30. Upon interception and investigation, the two were found to have smuggled 1.26 kg gold worth ₹ 64,13,400 approximately by way of rectal concealment.

Commissioner of Customs, Imamuddin Ahmed, IRS, and Joint Commissioner Joannes George congratulated the Mangaluru Air Customs team led by Deputy Commissioner Dr.Kapil Gade, Superintendent Shrikanth. K, Superintendent Bikram Chakraborty, Inspector Praful Mittal, and others.
