Armed Dacoits injure woman, rob gold and cash in Kadaba

Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2020: Dacoits injured a woman who tried to resist robbery at Kadaba Taluk in Dakshina Kannada district on Monday. They robbed 30 sovereign gold and cash.

Incident:
The incident took place in the house of one Tukrappa Shetty at Nooji in Kaukradi of Kadaba Taluk. Tukrappa, his wife, and two children reside in the house.

At 2.15 am Tukrappa Shetty who was sleeping on the first floor of the house heard the dog barking. He opened the door to check and found a gang of nine covering the face armed with weapons.
They forcefully entered the house and hit Tukrappa Shetty, and threatened to kill him.

When Tukrappa’s wife tried to resist, the decoits attacked with a knife and injured her. She has sustained injuries to her stomach and is under treatment at a hospital.

The dacoits took away 40 sovereign gold and cash.

Senior police officials visited the spot and have collected details. A case will be filed at Uppinangady Police Station.
