Inflammatory graffiti case: VHP wants NIA probe
Mangaluru, Dec 11, 2020: Vishwa Hindu Parishad has demanded NIA inquiry into the inflammatory graffiti case.
Inflammatory graffiti were found on the walls of a dilapidated building near the court and another outside an apartment in Mangaluru two weeks ago. Mangaluru police had arrested two people in connection to this.
VHP, which feels that a larger network is behind this incident, has demanded an NIA inquiry.
“We appreciate the police officials for arresting Mohammed Shariq and Mazz Muneer Ahmed. It is concerning that the video of ISIS and international terrorists and literature have been seized from the arrested,” VHP Zonal Secretary Sharan Pumpwell said in a press statement.
“It is clear that there is a well-planned network behind this and there are many more connected to the accused. A detailed probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will help in revealing the truth. We request the Mangaluru City Commissioner to recommend this case for NIA probe,” he added.
