Mangaluru, Dec 05, 2020: Cracking the inflammatory graffiti case, Mangaluru City Police arrested two youths from Thirthahalli.

Last week graffitis were found on the compound wall of an apartment in Bejai and another near Court premises.

Giving details about the arrest City Police Chief Vikash Kumar Vikash stated that the two arrested are Mohammed Shariq (22) and Mazz Muneer Ahmed (21).

While Shariq works in his father’s cloth store at Thirthahalli, Muneer is a third-year Engineering student and living in an apartment in the City.

“These accused had written first on a dilapidated wall in Mangaluru North Police station jurisdiction that was never noticed by anybody. As there was no publicity they put an extra effort and wrote it in another place (at Bejai) where everybody could see it,” the Commissioner said.

Though the police feel that the two had done this for publicity, they are probing the reason behind publicity. They feel this cannot be just for publicity and added that only a detailed probe can throw light on the actual plan and background.
