Mangaluru, Dec 08, 2020: While three taluks of Dakshina Kannada-Mangaluru, Moodabidri, and Bantwal will go for election on December 22, four others- Belthangady, Puttur, Sullia, and Kadaba will have elections in the second phase on December 27.

Voters:
The number of female voters is more than male voters in the Dakshina Kannada district. Of the total 10,39,217 voters 5,26,288 are female and 5,12,908 are male.
Moodabidri Taluk has the highest number of voters (2,73,424) and Belthangady has the lowest (64,480 voters).

Booth:
The district has 1,527 booths of which 397 are sensitive, 199 hypersensitive, and 931 general booths. Bantwal taluk has the highest number of booths. Of the 396 booths in Bantwal, 86 are sensitive and 46 hypersensitive.
Though Moodabidri has the highest number of voters, the number of booths here is the least in the entire district. It has only 99 booths.

Panchayats and members:
The total number of seats in 220 Panchayats are 3,222. While Bantwal has the highest number of Panchayats (57) as well as seats (837) seats, Moodabidri has the least number of Panchayats (12) and seats (193).
