Accused missing for past 15 years arrested
Mangaluru, Dec 04, 2020: Mangaluru Police have arrested a person who was in hiding for the last 15 years.
Praveen of Meepaguri Madoor Road, Kasargod (Kerala) was arrested today by the special team formed by City Police Chief Vikash Kumar Vikash.
Case file:
The case dates back to 2005. For some trivial issue, a gang of five attacked a private bus conductor. A case was filed at Mangaluru South Police Station under IPC Section 143, 147, 341, 323, 506 along with 149.
While police had arrested four accused, the fifth one- Praveen was hiding from the police.
He was then 25 years old.
After collecting confirm information about him, the special team formed by Mangaluru City Police Chief Vikash Kumar Vikash arrested Praveen after 15 years.
