Udupi district hospital upgradation: DC conducts spot inspection
Udupi, Nov 20: Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh along with senior officials conducted the spot inspection for the construction of new building at the District Hospital premises in Ajjarakadu.
The State cabinet had given its nod for the upgradation of the District Hospital into 250-bed hospital costing ₹115 crore. The work of the hospital is likely to start by February next year.
As there is sufficient land available behind the present building, the Deputy Commissioner directed the engineer to construct the new building there and prepare the blueprint accordingly.
Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr. Naveen Bhat, District Surgeon Dr Madhusudhan Nayak, DHO Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sooda, and others were present.
