Deepavali special: Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari in handloom saree alankaram
Mangaluru, Nov 14: On the occasion of Deepavali a special alankaram was offered to Kateelamma on Saturday.
The handloom saree woven by Sharada shettigar of Kinnigoli Talipadi wavers’s Co-operative Society was used for the alankara.
This move by the temple administration to promote the local variety of handloom sarees has received appreciation as it will help the weavers.
