D K Shivakumar speaks about change in style of party building
Mangaluru, Nov 12: KPCC president D K Shivakumar has spoken about a revamp in party organization.
Shivakumar was speaking to reporters at Mangaluru on Thursday.
“We want to bring some changes to the party. We will change the district presidents who are inactive,” Shivakumar said.
“We are a political party. We want to change our style of party building. I had tried but due to COVID and then elections we could not concentrate,” he said.
He said that he was sure that people would choose Congress in the state as it is the only party that reaches every section of society.
Shivakumar also did not want to consider bye-elections as a yardstick.
“We had won the bye-elections in Nanjangud, Gundlupete, and Bellary. But lost the general elections. So I have not taken bye-elections as a yardstick,” he said.
Shivakumar said that the party knew the things done by BJP done to win the bye-elections.
“We have information about how money was distributed and what all the party had done. We will discuss it. We agree with the defeat but cannot understand the margin. Whomever we spoke to said that they had voted for Congress. But we have lost by a huge margin. We will probe with the help of our experts,” he said.
