U T Khader questions Govt’s decision banning crackers

Mangaluru, Nov 06: Questioning the state government’s decision to ban crackers during Deepavali, Mangaluru MLA and former Minister U T Khader noted that enforcing the ban would be a difficult task for the administration.

“The district administrations have already issued the license to sell crackers. Those who got the license have already invested in it. Now at the last moment, the government has imposed a ban,” he told reporters at Mangaluru on Friday.

“The government might have issued the ban order but it will be a difficult task to enforce it,” he said.

He also questioned the ban order issued today.
“So many crackers were fired yesterday during the BJP executive Committee meeting at Mangaluru. When that can be allowed why not during Deepavali,” he said.
