‘Suggi Bele,’ at Kateel’s Moola Kudru
Mangaluru, Nov 02: After the successful harvest of the first crop, the staff of Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple were busy in the transplantation of paddy for the second one (Suggi Bele) on Monday.
‘Bhramarivana’ or Moola Kudru at Kateel is situated amidst the two streams of Nandini, behind the Kateel temple. At this place, the temple administration grew paddy and harvested it on October 27. The paddy will be used for Dhanya Lakshmi Pooja during Deepavali.
The temple administration has not left the field vacant and instead decided to grow the second crop.
On Monday the temple staff started paddy cultivation by transplanting the paddy. The work completed within hours in the small field situated near the ‘Nakshatra Vana.’
