Men on bike snatch woman’s gold chain
Karkala, Oct 05: Two bike-borne men snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman at Shivabettu of Erlapady village in Karkala Taluk.
The incident took place at 8.30 am on October 5.
While Kamala Nayak (77) was on her way to graze cattle, two bike-borne men stopped the vehicle near her. The pillion rider got down and enquired an address. When the woman was about to reply, he snatched the gold chain on her neck and escaped.
The chain weighing two sovereign valued about ₹ 50,000, according to the complaint filed at Karkala Town Police station.
An FIR is filed under IPC Section 392.
