Uttara Kannada gears up for MLC election
Karwar, Oct 01: Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Uttara Kannada district is gearing up for the election of Legislative Council (West Graduate Constituency) on October 28.
Giving details about the election process, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar said that based on ECI guidelines the maximum voters per election center will be 1,000. As a result, the district will have three additional voting centers. Earlier there were 23 centers.
The Belagavi Regional Commissioner is the Election Officer for the Western Graduate Constituency and Dharwad DC Nitish Patil is the Assistant EO. The election will be held on October 28 and counting on November 2.
The election Code of Conduct is already in force in the district since Sept 29.
