Kundapura records highest number of COVID cases in Udupi district

Udupi, Aug 28: Kundapur taluk recorded the highest number of COVID cases in Udupi district on Friday. 

Usually Udupi Taluk records the highest number of COVID cases in the district. 

But on Friday, of the total 174 new cases, 85 were from Kundapur and 67 from Udupi taluk. Meanwhile 13 patients were from Karkala and 9 from other districts. 

As many as 187 were discharged today (47 from hospital and 140 from Home Isolation).

Deaths:

A 57 year old male and 66 year old female, both from Udupi taluk.
