COVID-19: Dakshina Kannada crosses 9000 mark
Mangaluru, Aug 17: Dakshina Kannada recorded 144 new cases and 8 deaths on Monday.
With the total number of cases reaching 9,022, Dakshina Kannada has crossed the 9,000 mark today.
The district has 2,091 active cases and 6,654 discharges. The total number of deaths has increased to 277.
As many as 209 were discharged (13 from COVID Care Center, 96 from Home isolation and 100 from hospitals).
Mangaluru Taluk recorded three deaths. One death each was recorded in Puttur and Bantwala. The remaining three patients who died were from other districts.
