Police Chief warns action against social media messages hurting religious sentiments

Mangaluru, Aug 13: Taking serious note of the messages on the social media hurting religious sentiments, Mangaluru City Police Chief has warned people not to create or circulate such messages.

“It has been noted that messages hurting the sentiments of the people are being circulated on social media. A case has been registered at the cybercrime police station. Action would be taken against those who create, circulate and comment on such messages,” a press statement by Mangaluru City Commissioner Vikash Kumar Vikash stated.
