COVID-19: Dakshina Kannada records 240- plus cases

Mangaluru, Aug 11: Dakshina Kannada recorded an increase in the COVID cases on Tuesday with 243 positives and 9 deaths in the last 24 hours. Of this Mangaluru Taluk recorded 189 Bantwal 30, Puttur 6, Sullia 4, and Belthangady 10. four are from other districts.

The district also recorded 519 discharges today.

The total cases in the district have now increased to 7,596 of which 2,625 are active and 4,734 discharged. The total deaths have reached 237.

Of the 9 deaths on Tuesday, 8 are from Mangaluru Taluk and one from other districts.
