COVID-19: Dakshina Kannada records 166 cases

Mangaluru, Aug 07: Dakshina Kannada recorded 166 cases and 7 deaths on Friday increasing the total number of COVID cases in the district to 6,881.

The district has 3,369 active cases and 3,304 discharged. The total number of deaths is 208.

On Friday too Mangaluru Taluk recorded the highest cases (74) followed by Belthangady (36), Bantwal (25), Puttur (13), and Sullia (1). Meanwhile, 17 were from other districts.

Moodabidri, Mulky, and Kadaba taluks did not record any cases.

Mangaluru Taluk also recorded 5 deaths. Puttur and Belthangady saw one death each.
