 Tunnel line wall collapse at Goa: Trains diverted

Udupi, Aug 06: Five trains have been diverted on the Konkan Railway route due to tunnel lined wall collapse in Goa.
The Konkan Railway press statement stated that due to heavy rain, tunnel lined wall inside the Pernem tunnel (at Km 384/6-7) between Madure and Pernem station of Karwar region collapsed at 02:50 am on August 6.
The traffic in this section has been suspended till further advice. 
No casualties or injuries have been reported. Konkan Railway officials have rushed to the spot for early restoration.
Due to this, the following trains are diverted :
  1. Train No. 02617 Ernakulam – H. Nizamuddin Superfast Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via. Madgaon – Londa – Miraj – Pune – Panvel – Kalyan.
  2. Train No. 06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via. Madgaon – Londa – Miraj – Pune – Panvel.
  3. Train No. 02432 New Delhi – Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon.
  4. Train No. 02618 H. Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Superfast Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon.
  5. Train No. 06345 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Thiruvananthapuram Central dated 06/08/2020 is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon.

In the press release, Konkan Railway Chief Public Relations Officer L K Verma has regretted the inconvenience caused.
